The Craco Society is proud to introduce our computer generated 3D rendering of Craco Vecchio, as it appeared before the frana of 1963 which forced the evacuation of the old town. With over 400 hours of labor invested, this work represents another Society project to help preserve the images of our ancestral hometown. First premiered at our Third Annual Reunion in Brooklyn on October 24, 2009, it has been seen in Craco, and has given its citizens a glimpse of the way their beautiful city looked nearly 50 years ago.
